Alisa Howard was invited by one of the Founders of GWBT, Ni'Cola Mitchell to speak as a panelist for this tour due to her work in sexual education with teens and her mentorship of at-risk youth for several years while working at Fitzgerald Elementary school with Dr. Theodore Ransaw's and Dr. Robert L. Green's Lion's Den mentoring program. Alisa has also run an empowerment group for girls in 6th-8th grade for 5 years at Victory Baptist Church, been a supervisor over an after school Safekey program, and has been a substitute teacher for the Clark County School District for several years.
"The purpose of this organization is to provide a platform to cultivate, inspire and empower at risk girls between the ages of 9-17 to go after and obtain all positive goals that their mind seems fit. We are providing the vital tools needed through literacy, education, life skills, and health and wellness to become a leader and difference maker in their community!" taken from the Girls Who Brunch Tour website www.girlswhobrunchtour.com
